Would you like to go for brunch? The coolest restaurants in Madrid and Barcelona are launching or relaunching this aperitif-meal-after-dinner for the new season

In this new autumn season some of the coolest restaurants in Madrid and Barcelona They take the opportunity to launch or relaunch their brunches with news and surprises. Several are committed to combining their breakfast-lunchs with music and views (among them some of the coolest rooftops in Spain) and even to raising brunch into a unique event.

We start with the exceptional: this Saturday, October 16 all the Salvaje stores (two in Madrid, one in Barcelona and one in Valencia) They celebrate the Monkey Brunch from 2 to 7 p.m., a proposal that they export from their headquarters in Miami. It is an à la carte brunch with special options.

To eat, a dish designed by chef Fermín Azkue: crispy salmon Benedict. To drink, three cocktails that bear the signature of the bartender Borja Goikoetxea: Monkey blood (with Perrier Jouet champagne base), Monkey colada (Zacapa 23, coconut rum) and Monkey Salvajín (which in addition to champagne includes white vermouth) -. Also, timpani music, DJs and a very cute (sorry) live show. You have to reserve!

If you miss the sweet, do not go to Babette’s oven (they make it difficult for you, there are four locations in Madrid) or you will find delicacies such as agustinas (a version of the delicious American cookie), fig and walnut spelled cakes, pain au chocolat or traditional muffins. Every Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

And if you are more than salty, Orellana House have the Iberian brunch of your dreams. Andalusian muffin with Iberian shoulder and eggs not benedict, but with lace, baked potatoes and salami chichas. To drink? Orange juice, coffee, vermouth, beer or wine (this is a traditional brunch and it shows) or champagne.

All saturdays are Saturday Live Brunch at two of the Flax & Kale restaurants (Barcelona). There are DJs, there is urban art (the urban artists PichiAvo and Misterpiro sign two artistic and very colorful interventions in each of the places) and there are two new dishes: salad for the gods (in Tallers, 74B) and multicolor & superfoods pizza (in St. Pere 31-33).

Each of the two days of the weekend, one of our favorite rooftops in Madrid, Le tavernier (the terrace of the INNSiDE by Meliá Gran Vía hotel), brings the Galician flavor to brunch with three menus with unmistakable names: Riazor, A Mariña and Torre de Hércules. In them you will find everything from Gildas to foie yogurt with mango, through mussels, Galician pie of the day, Cuban sandwich on glass bread … In the sweet section: almond crumble, yogurt with honey, strawberries marinated in Modena vinegar. All this with your juice of the day, your house mini vermouth and your basket of breads. Ah! And this Funny Brunch goes with live music (and views).

From the sky of Madrid with Galicia on the palate we go to the sky of Barcelona. On the 11th floor of Barceló Raval hotel is the 360º terrace, that has been offering brunch for a few Sundays to the rhythm of funky and groovey. The proposal? Sweet and savory buffet and various egg options at BLounge restaurant and a mimosa toast (or dig) outdoors.

And we have just returned to the capital with a restaurant that has just opened: Casa Lobo, in the Gran Hotel Inglés. So new that they do not have a brunch menu yet, but they have ‘tipped’ us their offer: a small buffet to enjoy a variety of fruits, sausages, yogurt and baked goods to complete with the menu of this “food house with a little more ».
