Before you start cooking, preheat the oven to 180 degrees centigrade.
Leave all the ingredients at room temperature.
Wash the pear, cut it in half, remove the skin and inedible parts. If you choose to use canned pear, try to make it "natural."
Place the yogurt in a cup and wash its container.
Sift the wheat flour together with the yeast or baking powder.
Grease a removable mold with a jet of oil and sprinkle with flour so that the mixture does not stick. If you don't have such a platter, use parchment paper on top of the platter.
Step by step to make pear cake
First, crack the eggs in a compotera and then place them in a large bowl. Add the sugar and begin to beat until the mixture is fluffy and turns pale yellow. If you have an electric mixer, 5 minutes of mixing will be enough, if you do it by hand it will cost you a little more time.
Then add the olive oil and beat again.
Now, it is time for you to add the yogurt. It is important that you do this step with a spatula, since from now on you have to mix the ingredients with enveloping movements and in a gentle way.
Once the yogurt is mixed in, start adding the sifted flour with the baking powder or yeast. You can do this step in two or three parts to prevent lumps from forming.
Finally, the only thing missing is the pear. It would be advisable to use fresh fruit because the canning that is marketed undergoes a pasteurization process that, in addition to preserving the product, can affect the content of certain nutrients. Of course, this does not mean that you cannot use canned pears.
Now, to add the fruit you have two options. First, You can cut the pear into thin slices, sprinkle with cinnamon and reserve to add as a decoration. The other alternative is to cut it into cubes so that the fruit feels when you chew.
Now, if you want to choose the first one, what you should do is place the mixture in the greased source, take to the oven, but halfway through cooking remove from heat and arrange the sheets decorating as you prefer. If not, you can add the cubes inside the preparation along with the cinnamon, and mix and arrange the dough in the source. This step is faster.
Finally, to finish this pear cake, cook 45 minutes or until done.
If you notice that the fruit is already cooked, but the cake is still missing, cover with aluminum foil until cooking is complete. In this way, you will achieve that only the dough is cooked.
What benefits does the pear bring?
It is worth remembering that the pear is a fruit with remarkable nutritional value. In the first place, it provides appreciable amounts of fiber, especially of the insoluble type, so it is useful to improve the digestive system and prevent constipation, as expressed by some studies.

Minerals, among which potassium stands out.
Phytochemical compounds (substances produced by all plants) such as flavonoids, catechins, and organic acids.
What are the benefits of using yogurt?
Another of the main ingredients in this recipe is yogurt. It is a food that is obtained from the fermentation of milk by adding probiotics. The latter are live microorganisms, which as long as they are consumed in adequate quantities, confer a health benefit.
Thus, studies show that they increase the immune response against viral infections, restore intestinal health, among other beneficial effects.
Of course, like all dairy products, it is also a source of calcium, protein and other nutrients that contribute significantly to meeting nutritional requirements. Therefore, there is scientific evidence that the consumption of natural yogurt is associated with a healthy eating pattern.
