Queen Letizia has started her sixth international cooperation trip, an express visit to Paraguay with a very tight schedule focused on the work of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) in the country. During your stay, and despite it being a humanitarian visit, The Queen has chosen the exclusive boutique hotel La Misión, a colonial-style accommodation in Asunción that, despite being classified as luxury, does not exceed 100 euros per night.

Located in the exclusive residential area of Recoleta, a quiet and safe area in the heart of Asunción and very close to the nerve center of the city, La Misión is considered Paraguay’s first themed boutique hotel. With a marked colonial heritage that is reflected in its decoration and is breathed in every corner of this accommodation, the luxury and comfort of an exclusive hotel coexist with a architectural tradition dating back to the time of the Jesuit missions in South America, and in its walls the imposing fusion between the Spanish baroque and the native aesthetics that was conceived almost five hundred years ago is maintained. Staying at La Misión is “a journey into culture and aesthetics, discovering the little great details in the value of family and of being people”, they assure from the hotel.

Although we do not know in which room Queen Letizia is staying, we assume that she will have occupied the presidential suite, an apartment of almost 100 square meters with very high ceilings of more than 5 meters, a private terrace and living room with impressive panoramic views, an office and an exquisite decoration in which minimalism and colonial style coexist.

The Queen’s schedule during her cooperation trip to Paraguay could not be tighter, and we doubt that she will be able to enjoy moments of rest and relaxation at the hotel, but if she wanted (or rather had time), she could take advantage of services such as the outdoor pool (can you imagine the paparazzi photos?), the fitness center, the spa with a massage and relaxation area or its Paraqvaria restaurant, a sophisticated gastronomic proposal signature that blends the best of international cuisine with typical Guarani flavors.
