  • Use of plugs for water. The plugs are especially recommended for those who have had ear infections in the past. However, no plug completely eliminates the risk of infection.
  • Dry the ears properly. The use of swabs is not recommended, much less if they are used with strength. It is best to use a dry, clean towel, gently passing through the atrial cavity. This is also recommended after showering.
  • Avoid rough dives. Going into the water with a jump from a considerable height involves subjecting the ear to a sudden pressure change. This can end up causing injuries and favoring the appearance of an infection.
