Food alert for sausages with salmonella: these are the affected batches

The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN), an autonomous body of the Government attached to the Ministry of Consumption, has issued an alert about the presence of a type of salmonella (Salmonella enterica Typhimurium) in sausages of different brands. According to the AESAN in a statement, it would be about several batches manufactured by the Embutidos Solà company for your own firm and for others that have been withdrawn from the market but may remain in the homes of some buyers.

The alarm has been raised in France, although the product has also been distributed in Andorra, Belgium, Lithuania and Spain, specifically in stores in Catalonia, Andalusia, Aragon, the Canary Islands, Cantabria and Madrid. The affected products correspond to the brands Sausages Solà, La Granja, Calet, Solà i Maó, Don Teo, Cambasec, Sanglier, Fran-per, Vic d’Or, Tapas Pape, Julian Mairal and Reketukas. The affected batches that are known to date are detailed below:

The AESAN and the competent authorities of the autonomous communities are investigating the reasons for this alert and verifying the withdrawal from the market of all the affected products. For the moment, there are no cases of salmonellosis associated with this alert. In any case, the AESAN advises people who have any of the aforementioned products at home to refrain from consuming them and return them to the point of purchase. In the case of having consumed them and presenting any symptomatology compatible with salmonellosis, it is recommended to go to a medical center.
