Taking the stairs instead of the elevator increases heart rate, helps with balance and improves the strength of the lower extremities. And if you get too high, you can even lift your heel off the edge of a step a little to strengthen your calf or take the stairs two at a time. Get off the elevator: your body and you heart They will be grateful to you.

Walk while you work

If you work from home or if you’ve already gotten used to virtual phone meetings, try scheduling a walk during a call. If you don’t need to be staring at a spreadsheet screen, plug in your headphones, put the phone in your pocket, and troubleshoot as you walk. It’s a great way to mix daily routine with exercise. And, at the same time, your mind is activated and ideas flow better.

Sit on an exercise ball

Trade in your office chair for a stability ball. This can help with back pain and improve posture. Also, while sitting on the ball, you can do some stretching smooth mobility for the neck, pelvis and spine. It’s not about spending the entire day on a ball, but a little bit will help a lot.

Adopt a pet

There are many pet adoption centers and that is something that can help you at all levels. Can schedule visits and take your adopted pet for a walk. You will increase your time outdoors, you will help a dog and the community, you will teach others the importance of caring for others, you will spend quality time with the family … And if you want to go a step further and take a pet home with you, even better. A pet activates you at all levels, do not hesitate.

Exercise while watching TV

Put on your favorite series, the one that helps you escape, and activate yourself. You can walk on a headband, do bike, perform stretching, use weights (or water bottles instead), do Pilates… If you watch a 20 minute program while you move, it is already 20 minutes of exercise that you did not have before. And you will continue to have fun with your favorite show.
