Exercises to control emotional hunger

Set the timer on your mobile to ring in three minutes. At that time, observe how it rises when inhaling and falls when the air is expelled. Try not to wander your mind and count the inhalations and exhalations until you reach 8. Then start again, until you reach 3 minutes. "By redirecting attention to the movement of your abdomen you will be training your ability to pay attention to only one thing," explains the author.

one. Get comfortable

Find a quiet place where you can relax. Sit comfortably in a chair and put your hands on your lap and close your eyes. Keep your neck relaxed and your back straight.

two. Become aware of your body

Pay attention to your posture, notice the weight of your body, your arms, your legs, let your body loosen up.

3. Breath deeply

Inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth. Breathe from the depths of your abdomen. Place your hands on your chest and feel how it fills with air and then deflates. Do it for 5 minutes.

These breathing exercises will help you be more aware of your emotions and control your anxiety. You will see that your anxiety to eat will decrease.
