Afternoon, drunch, afterwork or snack dinner … We say goodbye the last weekend of August toasting the sunset from Madrid, Barcelona and Malaga

Before the first chords of the song of the Dynamic Duo sound, we are buried by the announcements about going back to school and we face that alternative beginning of the year that is September and its purposes, this last weekend of August we want to press pause. Treat ourselves to have a cocktail with a piece of cake while we watch the sunset or enjoy some wines while it gets dark, Taking advantage of those hours that many of us call tardy, which will soon be afterwork, which can be called brunch and that when we were little, in our house it was called snack dinner.

If you love the late concept and also missed clubbing, you're in luck. This Saturday August 28 TheCLUB Lab, a restaurant and entertainment space that has just been remodeled and is located on the heights of the Chamartín Station, launches the first of his proposals: Oh! Mother. A program with nature as inspiration, with sessions of national and international DJs, performances and a gastronomic drunch with snacks inspired by Spanish cuisine with international touches: homemade croquettes, crayfish tartare, tomato focaccia … The first Thursday of September, in addition, another one of its lateos is released: Be Renatta. From 20 to 3 in the morning (it is already known that the afternoons are lengthened).

Another of our favorite Madrid options is the one offered by the restaurant China Crown (Ramón de la Cruz, 6), with its Dim sum & champagne bar, every afternoon from 5 pm to 8 pm. A proposal designed by Felipe Bao, the restaurant's executive chef, which includes 15 types of dim sums that will delight fans of this millenary bite. Among them, proposals that mix Iberian pork with prawns and truffles, oxtail and spicy curry or smoked tofu with mushrooms and bamboo. All this, accompanied by selected gin and tonic and champagne to complement these flavors.

We end in Mono House (Tutor, 37), a very special place, one of these well-decorated restaurants in which it would be worth sitting down simply to watch -work by Lázaro Rosa Violán- where one can enjoy its different spaces for lunch, dinner and, of course , take a long time, taking a look at its snack offer and its menu of cocktails and drinks.

We are going to Barcelona, and since we are polite, we start by saying hello: #BuenasTardesPulitzer. The late in this house has a hashtag. The Pulitzer hotel (Bergara, 8) offers until the end of October (provided the weather is good) from 5 pm to 11 pm live music and DJ sessions, drinks, cocktails and informal snacks with show cooking included (Olly Melhuish, its British chef a los fuegos) that offers tables to share, pita bread with marinated lamb, burger with mahón cheese and even desserts: mojito or chocolate pulipolos. Every day until 11pm, Monday to Friday from 5pm and Saturday and Sunday from 1pm.

We jump to Malaga, and we go to La Machina (Paseo Marítimo El Pedregal, 42), with sea views and non-stop cuisine, mixed drinks, rich coffees, vermouth and sparkling wines and you can have a snack from 5 pm to 8 pm; and another day to La Escondía (Santiago, 8), a beautiful corner that becomes strong with the wine list, its entrepanes, its special hummus with crudités …

Finally, and for the more home-based, we propose a drunch on the terrace of the house by the hand of Libé Unique Cocktails and its two mixers (with ingredients 'made in Spain') that, depending on the distillates with which you mix them, give rise to up to ten cocktails: from negroni to whiskey sour to margarita or the classic mojito. Let's toast September!
