53% of residences in Madrid have a medium-high immunity to the coronavirus

Near to 53 percent of the social health centers in the Community of Madrid presents a medium-high immunity with respect to covid-19 and, specifically, 15,852 residents have antibodies to SARS-CoV-2, so they have already passed the disease.

This is collected in the serological map in socio-health centers of the Community of Madrid, the first study of seroprevalence in residences carried out in Spain that has involved the realization of 55,542 blood samples and individual surveys of users and professionals in 517 of these centers, between July and September of this year.

Madrid maintains the curfew and extends the restrictions to another 8 municipalities

The study was presented at a press conference by the Deputy Minister of Public Health and the Covid-19 Plan, Antonio Zapatero; the general director of Socio-Health Coordination, Francisco Javier Martínez Peromingo; and the general director of Public Health of the Community of Madrid, Elena Andradas.

After analyzing the data obtained from the seroprevalence study, Health has classified the social health centers into three levels according to the degree of immunity of their residents: high (25.9 percent) half (27.9 percent) and low (46.2 percent).
